Unagi Fujita is a high quality chain restaurant famed for its freshwater eel cuisines! The way its cooked is over a grill with a light sauce added for flavor. The smokiness from the grill enhances the flavors and taste and brings out the natural aromas of the sea.
Fujita has its own nicely chilled original Japanese sake brewed just for its signature dish, freshwater eel. The top dish is a Japanese style omelette infused with eel. Absolutely yummy. Beneath that is the main dish is a domestically grown freshwater eel that’s juicy and full of flavor. Pairs very well with the cold sake.
Good morning! Thank you for your comment. The actual picture is another type of eel called “anago” - salt water eel. In this set menu I ordered both unagi, which I ate earlier, and anago in this photo. Have you ever tried salt-water eel?
@user_not_found Oh, OK. That’s why the color is a bit different. Yes, I have tried Anago. For me, I like Unagi better, especially Nagoya style. Have you tried Nagoya style Unagi don?
Really? @Ant_Bad_Yogi to be honest, I agree with you. Nagoya style is #1. There’s a restaurant in Nagoya called Atsuta Horaiken that’s famous for a dish called Hitsumabushi; it’s a type of eel cuisine in a wooden bowl. I went there many moons ago and did a write up on Google Maps about it, and loved it with chilled #Japanese sake. Wow! So glad we share similarities. Have you tried Hitsumabushi?
