They say “Dal Bhat Power, 24 Hours”.
The platter consists of:
- Bhat (rice)
- Kalo daal (black lentils)
- Usually one or two vegetables
- Chicken, mutton or fish curry (your choice)
- Gundruk saadheko (fermented leafy green vegetable and is a popular food in Nepal)
- Mula ko achaar (radish pickle)
- Saag (spinach)
- Yogurt
- Paapad
- Few slices of fresh radish, carrots, and cucumber
