If you’re ever near Moab in Southeastern Utah, the views are well worth the ~3 mile round trip hike.
This is a very popular destination - my favorite time to go is about 2 hours before sunset on nights with a new moon. The sunsets can be spectacular, but the best part is staying for the stars after the crowds have left for the night. Bring flashlights for the hike down and dress for cool weather - oh, and bring a blanket and snacks.
