Delhi Metro : Crowded, Busy but still the economic way to transit b/w the NCR

Delhi Metro has been operational for 17 years now. and the network has grown rapidly across the NCR (National Capital Region). Starting the first ride at 05:00 and the last ride at 23:30, the metro transits 2.54 million individuals (2017-2018 average) on a daily basis.

You could see in the map layout that how complex and expanded from its initial stages.

Adding upto 10 different lines as transit routes, Delhi metro manages to pull off its task with a very little hiccups.

One thing that google has very efficiently incorporated into its search is the routes and the interchange points if the destination is on a different route.

For Example:

If i search for HUDA City Centre to IP Ext and choose transit in the Google App it shall show me all available routing options like in these pictures. It specifically shows me what time the next metro is leaving and where do I need to switch the trains.

I found a video that can help you see the metro better. Here is the link for it

Do leave kind comments to the creator after watching the Video.

And I shall leave you guys to it. That’s it for this post. Lets chat in the replies or if we can locally meet I’m totally up for it.

Peace
