I want to delete one review from my account. I do so. But still it is there on the GMB listing. Is it like it will take some time to delete it from database? Or do i need to do something else?

Yes, this is correct @AmiOrang
When you delete a review (Write reviews and add ratings of places ) it may takes up to 24 hours (sometimes more) to disappear from the business listing.
This is due to the time for the database to synchronize

If you’re a business owner and you would like to report a review that someone else shared for your company, you need to follow the steps described in the link above. Be patient. It can take several days for a review to be assessed.

After reading @KatyaL reply, I have a question for you: Are you asking to delete a review written by a Local Guide on your Business Listing, or a review written by you?
While you can easily delete a review written by you, if a review is written on your Business Listing, the review will not be automatically deleted. The review will be removed only if violates the Google review policies.
As indicated on the link shared by Katya: “Only flag reviews that violate Google policies. Don’t flag a review just because you disagree with it or don’t like it. Google doesn’t get involved when merchants and customers disagree about facts, since there’s no reliable way to discern who’s right about a particular customer experience.”
