Deep Japan - Drinking Snake Alcohol Tonic!

Drinking highly poisonous venomous snake fermented in alcohol is also a part of ancient Japanese culture which has its roots in Okinawa and Kyushu! People used to drink the stuff for male virility and courage, some drank it for the energy boost.

Why should I drink this?

It’s potency is high and can make you feel drunk faster than anything at a bar. Bragging rights

How did the snake get in the bottle?

Most likely drowned it in alcohol.

How does it taste?

Taste like strong alcohol with a strange aftertaste.

I think it is too gross for me. Can you recommend anything else?

I recommend the deep grape “Chuhai” - fruit cooler with a shot of whisky. 15% alcohol +++

@user_not_found Is it expensive? I think I’ll go for the grape drink with no alcohol. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

@user_not_found Thank you for your reply. Actually I don’t like the smell and taste of alcohol, that’s why I don’t drink it. If we had good smell and taste alcohol, I would love to try it.

@Ant_Bad_Yogi I think you would love the grape stuff then. You can hardly taste alcohol. Is wine included in your list?

Hello @preceramic you gotta visit some of these bars in the Honch district next time you go back. The habu sake is excellent.
