I had the opportunity to do a day trip in Yokohama on a recent trip to Japan.
Even though it was summer and temperatures were in the soaring mid 30s and humidity almost 100% I took it all in my stride with lots of water and an umbrella.
I started in the Southern most part of the city with a trip to Chinatown first. This is the best Chinatown that I’ve ever seen. There are so many good food options here which practically line the street completely once you’re past the arched gateway.
After that it was my plan to visit NYK Hikawa Maru but I took a wrong turn and ended up further along in Yamashita Park than expected before I discovered my mistake. As I had mentioned, it was such a hot day I didn’t want to back track.
There were beautiful sunflowers and marigolds in the park from where you can see the bridge and other cruise ship.
I proceeded in a northerly direction and stopped at the Red Brick Warehouses.
After that I spent the next hour and a bit at the Cup Noodles Museum. I “made” my cup noodle and had a small snack at the international food hall. The theater and the displays/museum did a very good job of telling the inspiring story of Momofuku who invented noodles that could be rehydrated when he was 48 years old after many failed businesses attempts. He went in to invent a way of eating his noodles in space in zero gravity at the age of 95!
I continued my exploration that day to finish my visit at the Yokohama museum of art before taking the more scenic train ride home on the Shonan-Shinjuku Line as per @MasaruKamikura Masa’s recommendations.
Now if I were to do the trip over again (in cooler weather) I would try to finish my day for a late lunch in Chinatown where there are many more food choices. 
As it was, I only had a very large BBQ pork bun in the morning there.
All in all it was a really lovely day trip and I had a wonderful time.

Yes I used a pixel. Pixel 7Pro. I’m extremely happy with it as a camera and a phone.
It’s wonderful for travelling.
It has eSim capability as well.
And lighter than any camera.
It can tolerate raindrops and the cold very well. It coped well too in the hot weather - better than expected.

Taking the train is a convenient way to get around Japan, and you often have several railway options to choose from.
For your trip from Shibuya to Yokohama, I suggested a route that runs above ground. Instead of taking a subway line where you can’t see the scenery, this route lets you watch the endless suburbs of the Greater Tokyo Area pass by. As you get closer to the port city of Yokohama, you’ll be able to enjoy the views of the bay area.
As another example, when traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto, you can even choose a seat on the side of the train with a better view of Mt. Fuji.
Train travel in Japan has a lot to offer and can be a rich experience.

On the Tokaido Shinkansen, the best place to see Mt. Fuji is row E.
However, there are also places in row A where you can get a quick glimpse of it.
Shizuoka, which is a green tea producing region, is also on the way, so you can enjoy the tea fields.

Currently I don’t have plan to buy. @MariaNgo but I always love Google Pixel mobile. Probably after an year I will buy it.

@Shaunak by then you’ll have a much better model. I bought it off the Google store during the Christmas sales. Then I went travelling with it overseas so got the tax back on it because Australia has that tax arrangement. So it came to a very good price. When I buy my next one I hope to have it coincide with a sale and and overseas trip to maximize “discounts”.
