Dear, Yes, I want to visit as per my own plan, but can take help from travel company. you are right, have female & child in the group, and of course, as we travel , it’s a budget tour.
as large member in the group, so, I want to make all issue settle like car-transportation, accommodation etc…
I have visited Darjeeling long before @jahidfrp
Still i remember few places, Darjeeling is a very nice place for tourist, please don’t forget to visit: Rock Garden, Peace Pagoda, Himalayan Zoological park, Tiger Hill (highest pick in Darjeeling, from Tiger Hills you can enjoy raising Sun early in morning) and the Cable Car.
If you go by road then you can go through Mirik Lake, a very nice Lake in Siliguri.

I’ll try to take a sunrise picture from the cable car…
Hope, I’ll visit Darjeeling on end May or Early June…
