Darjeeling, Queen of Hills

Hey Guy’s,

India, a country, full of diversities. different climates, Culture, Language, Food, architecture. It’s richness makes it a subcontinent. I live in Jaipur India, A dry state, famous for it’s colorful culture, Hospitality, architecture and crafts. But if you go to North (Himalayan states) or Northeast, you will find absolutely different nature.

I was lucky to visit one of destination in which is adjoining with Himalaya and North east (seven sisters states).

Yes it’s Darjeeling -

  • famous for world’s one of best quality tea
  • holy land for Buddhists
  • and land of great Gorkha worriers.

It was 2017, I was lucky to visit there. Here i am sharing few of best pictures, i captured -

Awesome road to paradise -

Few awesome clicks from famous tea garden -

Rock climbing at Tenzing rock -

Gorkha memorial -

I lost best photograph of gorkha memorial, so sharing my own photo (not that good BTW ;))

Bodh monastery -

when we visited there, it was closed, also rain since last 12 hours. And unfortunately we didn’t had time to stay there, So i couldn’t stopped myself from capturing this photo from outside of a window

Not best photo, but a memory.

Guys it was really awesome experience, visiting Darjeeling. You will feel yourself near to nature, Nice co-operating people and some of nice locations to capture.

In short what to do there -

  1. Watch beautiful views of hills
  2. Sunset and sunrise from tiger hill. (we were unfortunate due to rain)
  3. Visit bodh monastery
  4. Gorkha war memorial
  5. Visit tea garden, get some fresh and best quality tea for you.
  6. Shopping at mall road.
  7. Rock garden, 7 sisters fall.
  8. Get close view of gorkha culture. BTW they are shying people, so you can do so, if you have any friend from them. I was there on ‘Bhai tika’ festival, they celebrate on Dushhara.

Nearby places to visit - Darjeeling connects main land india to North sisters states. So Gangtok is also nearby nice place to visit.

Nearby railway station - Siligudi

Nearby Airport - Kolcutta

So guys it’s really a place, you must visit once in life at-least.

Thanks for reading. Suggestions, Questions are welcome.
