Daniel is going to Connect Live 2020 !

Hello guys!

I’m Daniel ? and it would be awesome to participate at #ConnectLive2020. I was one of the first 80 to go at the first Summit in 2016: #LGSummit16

It was super nice and the experience of meeting people all around the world is beyond what we can expect.

I learn a lot from this experience in the personal and professional fields as well.

Without further ado, here are my answers to the questions:

  • What is the most interesting thing you’ve done as a Local Guide?

It’s really hard to just talk about 1 only thing, but I would say the experience of participating at the first Summit. I feel like a pioneer because there were only 80 of us and we bonded very strongly.

For me, this experience is the best example of being a local guide because it was quite an adventure from the moment I started my application, going for the visa because I wasn’t French yet, and after the trip from Paris to San Francisco.

I feel really privileged to have been part of this experience as a Local Guide.

  • What does the Local Guides program mean to you?

For me the program is a very united community of people who have one and only mission, to help people find and discover wonderful places.

I was lucky enough to discover this program when it was still called Local Experts.

I participated in several events in Paris where I met a lot of people with different professions and very open-minded people. That’s what the Local Guides program is for me, to be open to share knowledge with others.

I hope to meet you there! ?

I’ll leave you with a picture of my beloved dog, Marty!

Hi @DanielRmrzSnz

Goodluck with the application. Can I please highlight few things (just to be on safe side)

  1. The connect post must be made under ‘Local Stories’ section
  2. You should only pick one prompt only for the post as well the video
  3. Finally, you also have to include a Maps List in your application form.

I am sure you must have done all that, I just thought perhaps you accidentally posted it in wrong category. If that’s so, there’s still time to get it sorted, mate.

Cheers, goodluck
