Dear all…
“A Snake Bit me twice”…

I still remember one of the “Dangerous Situations” we encountered.
We (me, my driver and an assistant) started by 5.30 AM, to shoot a Sunrise from a View Point, in a Hill Station! We reached early to the area; typical hilly area!! Just before the View Point, we saw a private property with beautiful landscapes, Boulders (Natural seats), etc. I was carrying Sony 7R M2 camera - I loaded a Zoom lens (70-200 mm) to capture and moved to get the "needed “Frames”, looking through the view-finder of the camera. There was some grass, bushes + small plants - I was not far from the walking track (no roads, there).
Next step I placed, it was on a “SNAKE”, which IMMEDIATELY BIT me TWICE - but luckily, first bite on my shoes (Thick, Sports Shoe) - I immediately jumped, it sprawled back & BIT AGAIN - this time luckily, the bite was on my thick Jeans!!
These all happened in fraction of a second… realizing what is happening, I ran away - It took few minutes to realize what happened; meanwhile, the snake escaped with it’s life (sparing mine too – even the camera was safe - how the was safe, I will explain in another post).
Immediately, I removed my shoes and saw…my foot was safe… Next inspected the Jeans, the thick Jeans saved me from the 2nd bite too.
After a few minutes of calming down, with the help of my driver and assistant, washed both (shoes + Jeans) and we completed the shoot session, by grace of God.
In my two plus decades’ experience in Travel & Photography, I had many Unique “INCIDENTS” - If supported, I can note it down for you all…
Thanks for reading …
