Twin Cities viz. Minneapolis & St. Paul, in the state of Minnesota, has a lot to offer. Summers are exceptionally a great time to be outdoors and explore what the cities have to offer… be one of many lakes, or parks, or downtown historical places, or just strolling around outdoor eateries.
So one place that I really had to go again & again almost every weekend was Lake Calhoun (now Bde Maka Ska). This is easily the largest lake in Minneapolis and the busiest. There’s a lot to do including walking/jogging around the circumference trail, relaxing by the pier (or at Tin-fish where you get some awesome fries btw), one of many play areas, etc.
My favorite activity is the rent a kayak and spend some time exploring. Exploring ?? Yes, Lake Calhoun is interconnect with 2 other lakes and you can kayak under the bridges and reach the other. There’s also bridge with rustic train track over you and make the exploration even fun.
Should you visit Minneapolis in summers, DamzMegz recommendation is taking a day out to relax & have fun at Lake Calhoun.
