Dabajian Mountain 大霸尖山, is printed on 500 New Taiwan Dollar.
Here is the holy mountain for aboriginal people (Atayal and Saisiyat people), they called this mountain “Papak waqa” which means ears.
20 years ago, there had the ladders and people can climb up to the top of the mountain. But now, to protect the fragile landform and respect to religious of aboriginal people, National Park removed the ladders and prohibit the climber to climb to the top.
Now, we can take a photo at the base of the rock to prove that we have visited Dabajian Mountain.
