Here are 2 awesome places for cupcakes addicts:
They are proud to be the first cupcake bakery in Saigon and still maintain their reputation until nowadays. They have a long list of flavors and decorations, either is good enough to die for.
Besides cupcakes, they have a menu of ‘Parfait’ with 4 different flavors, served in glass cups. I tried the Tiramisu and almost fell in love until I realized that they have coffee in it… I can’t drink coffee… But you’re gonna love it, treat yourself!
One more reason to be a fan of Pacey is that they join the environment-friendly community by reducing plastic straws. Fantastic!!!
The bakery is cute with a romantic old-town theme, but it’s small and not great for a group. The restroom is nice and super clean. (Yes, I review restroom, you should know).

Never heard of it? Of course, I spent a whole week searching on Instagram and Facebook to find a spectacular store for my friends’ birthday who share the same passion for cupcakes with me. And I found this - a hidden gem of Saigon.
They have no bakery, no stores, no signs, just delicious handmade cupcakes ordered via Zalo, Instagram, or phone calls (one day at least in advance). The lady owner is nice and clever, she ensured the cakes meet my expectations. Unlike Pacey, this place offers only one traditional flavor of cream, but it is outstanding.
Here is the set of 6 cups I ordered last week. Why don’t you guess the price?

On the contrary, here are places that I don’t wish to come back ?
1. Fly Cupcakes
Just as famous as Pacey but the flavor didn’t satisfy me.
They have appealing appearance, spacious store with numerous tables decorated in a fancy way, and friendly staff. I came for cupcakes and I failed. So… better not return. Moreove, it costs too high.

2. Mrs.Cake
Located in Vinh Vien Street, District 10 - a perfect spot for bakery - but the store doesn’t offer the taste as I expected.
They wrap EVERY SINGLE PIECE of cake in plastic, which is horribly wasteful and toxic.
But since I already stepped in and I wanted a cupcake so bad, I picked a cupcake and 2 muffins.
Guess what? They all turned out tasteless… the cakes were so dry and tough. The cream is too sweet. Nothing is good in these pieces of cake. Never come back for sure.
Also, the staff wasn’t very happy when talking to customers, not only to me but also to other people.
