I am an artist who lives and works in the Cape Winelands. I am also an art educator and am blown away at the beautiful and insightful art venues near to where I live. Art has the potential to break down barriers whether it be language, religion and race. It’s a place where all people can enjoy visual art and the bonus is, is that most museums have free days or times when you can enjoy the art FOR FREE! I love Zeitz MoCCA and have taken groups of adults and children there on various occasions. The architecture is a thing to behold and the exhibits change regularly. The Norval foundation in Tokai also is a beautiful and serene place to enjoy and their sculptures in the garden are amazing. The kids loved it. I also like the industrial feel of the Goodman Gallery in Woodstock. You have to catch the lift upstairs- but they always are very helpful and have edgy, contemporary exhibitions on a regular basis. If anyone has any other suggestions, please email me. I’d love to hear- or if any of you have gripes about cultural museums in your area, also let me know.
Sounds like you’re having fun already doing Meetups around your art @Cathymilnerart did you know that you can run those through https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup which will help you share important details like location, time and date and a description of your proposed Meetup are known to everyone who might like to come along.

Hi @Cathymilnerart ,
That museum looks amazing and, like you, I love the industrial feel with the amazing city views right outside. I am blown away by the second photo. Apparently, it is called Bee Sting Therapy. I read more about the artist here. Thank you so much for helping me learn and see something new today.
Thanks for sharing your story @Cathymilnerart , from the details on your story it shows that you from South Africa, I am happy to see that, I am dying to meet other local guides locally who lives here in South Africa, thanks to Connect Live 2019, I would like to connect with you so that we can know each other very well as local guides and learn from each other.
Cape Town is a very beautiful place and nice place to be, I have never been there but I am sure I will get that side some days in future.
