Islamabad was known as a dead city where life comes to a stand still after 8 PM. Perhaps that was true 10 years ago. In recent years, it has transformed. Just the other day, I was trying to count how many events were going to take place in next one week, and I stopped counting after 47.

In recent years, many restaurants and cafes have started organizing small events like poetry recitation sessions, open mic nights, and stand up comedy shows. Islamabad is very much alive and kicking. You need a local guide like me to guide you to the right place.
