Croatia Journey

Croatia… Land of super salty turquoise water, pebbly beaches, cliff jumps, delicious affordable
seafood & locals tooooo hot for their own good.
:
Zagreb 1, amazing street art, stunning cathedral and one bustling main street filled with restaurants, art and live music.
Bus it to Zadar for 3 days. I found Dragon’s apartment on Booking.com. It was perfectly located next to one of the city’s old sea gates and a local fresh food market.
:
Best sunsets views and sounds next to the sea organ and on the sun salutation art installation. Go early for a seat on the edge of the pier with a bottle of wine snacks from the market. :
Jump into the ocean straight from the long stretch of pier or go to the local beach with high diving boards and a small stretch of pebble beach. Hop onto the bus to Split for 3 days. A day trip to Krka is a must. I chose Krka instead of the very famous Plivitick national Park because your allowed to swim at the Krka Waterfalls. Its still one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, untouched natural beauty.
:
In Split the old town is bustling at night and full of parties and people from the various cruise liners and yachts.
:
Hire a bike and cycle along the riviera to one of the pebble beaches. Sunsets from the park on the hill is a must see.
:
Lastly make all your GOT dreams come true and venture to Drubovnik for 3 days. Walk along the famous city wall at sunset and pack snacks and wine, there’s plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the views over the old city and Lokram Island.
:
Day trip to Lokram Island for cliff jumping, tanning on the rocks and hiking along the island. There’s wild peacocks and rabbits all over. This is also home to one of the GOT iron thrones.
:
Back to the mainland, get lost in the old city, in the many little pathways leading to restaurants or dead ends:rofl:. Spot all the different scenes from GOT and make your own ‘shame, shame’ scene. :joy::rofl:. That’s what I did
:
GO to Lady Pi Pi at the edge of the wall. There will be a queue, trust me its worth it. All the food had been amazing but Lady Pi Pi had been :exploding_head:.
:
Truffle pasta in Zagreb and all things seafood in Split and Zadar

Hi @ursula_strauss ,

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

I enjoyed reading it, and it reminded me to the summers what I’ve spent in Croatia. My favorite city is Zagreb, I never get bored of it. I love the small streets, bars and the atmosphere there. Of course Split and Dubrovnik is amazing as well. I’ve visited many small villages also and there you can feel this is the calmest place in the worls. I can understand your choice about Krka but I would recommend you to visit Plivitice National Park too.

Unfortunately, I have no photos, but let’s ask @KatyaL to share some experience.

Thanks for sharing your experience and photos from Croatia!

Here is my latest post about Dubrovnik where you can read more about my experience as a foreigner in the country. Here is also my post about National park Plitvice lakes - I really liked this magical place and I would definitely go there again!

The next story I’ll share with you soon is going to be exactly about Zagreb, Croatia, so I hope @Petra_M will like it

Thanks for the reply @ursula_strauss .

One of my favorite place in Zadar is the market. You can find colorful fresh fruits and vegetables, the people are super kind and everyone is smiling and talking to you. Furthermore, they have the most types of fishes which are always fresh and super delicious.
