This is not a new function, and probably many may also know and are using this. I have not used this method before, so I tried it out today and it worked like a charm (at least for me), so I am sharing my experience so others who may not know this exist, can benefit from it.
This is one way to create a multi-attraction route along a drive path in Google Maps.
- Picture below: Navigate to your desired final destination as usual. And start navigation.
- Picture below: Within your navigation, click the Search icon (magnifying glass) and type in “attractions”
- Picture below: Google Maps will pull up attractions around your route which you can visually see how far they are from your route and click 1 of them to add to your route via “Add Stop”
- Keep searching for “attractions” and adding to create a multi stop route
- During navigation, when you click (X) to cancel, it will ask you if you want to cancel the entire route, or just remove the next stop. Which then allows you to continue the journey skipping the next stop, which Google Maps will just optimize and re-route.
Hope this is useful for some out there who may not know this exist.
