Creating a Map marker for a new business

Location: 129 Grey St, St Kilda (a seaside suburb of Melbourne).

The new business has replaced a former business.

Maps has accepted my update concerning the former business now Permanently Closed.

Submitted all the details I could provide at the time, including clear photos. Maps advised my submission has been rejected.

I went into my Maps Profile and looked at the Edits section to see why. Apart from wanting a piece of info. that could be now updated, they asked for a Map Marker. I have never provided this, so checked how to do it.

It was suggested I go into my Maps Profile and look up the MyMaps section to add the map marker. I am unable to do this in the current Maps version on my ZFlip6 Android 14, One UI 6.1.1.

Today I went into Google Play Store to update Maps, but it is the current version which, by the size of the file, I would say is the Lite version. What can I do, please?

Thanks for asking.

Iā€™m not familiar with the light version app. Please use the normal app to avoid any limitations.

New places are often rejected if Google is unable to verify the existence online.
