Last weekend I took my family to Bandung. The city is just three hours away from Jakarta by train, or normally four hours by private car. We wanted to stay in the north area of the city simply because of it’s easy access and public facilities. I used to live in the city for more than eight years during my college education. It was a rather nostalgic travelling as I wanted to revisit some places I used to know.
From the google map, I found M Premiere hotel is a strategic place to stay. It’s located almost in the middle of everywhere. It took less than ten minutes by taxi to go to the nearest shopping mall, culinary center, or some well known museums.
I was glad we found a bakery shop; Sari Sari that specialized in selling traditional cakes, we can find almost all traditional cake and delicacies. Also a local restaurant, Warung Nasi Ampera which provide traditional Sundanese menu.
We choose to stay in the hotel also because we wanted to have a walking tour in an open fresh air, under the big trees, and have some encounters with monkeys to Taman Hutan Raya Juanda. It is about 6 km and less than 30 minutes by taxi from the hotel. It’s very easy to organize the itinerary! Use google map and we can find create our Own Tour Package!
