Mumbai over the years has become known to city that never sleeps or city of dreams or city where people fight for each seconds. However, the one other thing that associates with the city is Vadapav.
Vadapav is food that resonates with city’s lifestyle and vibe. Vadapav is like a shot of energy that gives energy to people to complete that last mile or last push to carry on in this ever tiring on the go lifestyle of the city.
I, a Mumbaikar (jargon for person leaving in Mumbai), moved to Ahmedabad for education for two years. After 2 months into Ahmedabad, i started craving for Vadapav and i started craving for Vadapav. I searched on google for Vadapav and there i found review of one person which read as - best place for Bombay style Vadapav. I went there and had a Vadapav that made me feel like i was standing at station and eating my most favourite on the go meal. However, an image came into my mind about the reviewer with orange symbol with his photo. I went to google to again checked the review and i read something as Local Guide.
I searched on google to know about what is Local guide. I learned that you can post photos of places you have visited, write about your experiences for any places you visited, you can answer questions about that place and etc. In my mind i said ok this is good and i moved on.
However, one fine day i visited my cousin’s new cafe and i clicked some photos. Suddenly, my mind started thinking about what i read about Local Guide. I thought let me post photo of cafe’s ambience and i signed up for being Local Guide. When a views on my photo reached 1000, i got so happy. Then i started to post the photos for the places i visited which can help others. i answered questions about places, i started writing about my experiences.
This is how my journey began as Google Local Guide and i must say i am loving every bit of it.
