COVID-19 Sakura Viewing in Tokyo

While the world is on lockdown over the pandemic, life in Tokyo has gone on. We are still wearing our masks and practicing social distancing though. The COVID-19 has not stopped sakura viewing and people are out with their cameras and masks snapping pictures.

Joenji-Temple is one of the oldest Nichiren-shu temples in the very heart of Tokyo, in Nishi-Shinjuku. Getting here is a short walk from Shinjuku Station. The best times for me when viewing sakura is at night when the trees are lit up at against the black moonlit sky.
