Introduction:
COVID-19 FORCES THE MALAYSIAN PEOPLE TO CELEBRATE MERDEKA DAY (National Independence Day) IN DIFFERENT WAY.

The Story:

The government of Malaysia has announced that there will be NO NATIONAL PARADE on Independence Day (MERDEKA DAY) on 31-August-2020. The daily number of new COVID-19 cases is still active on the chart, although, with single-digit. Prime Minister of Malaysia urges the people to celebrate MERDEKA DAY by installing Malaysian Flag (s) at own/rental premises whether at one’s dwelling or business or organization building (s) to commemorate the day.

Being a Malaysian citizenship holder, am sad for not able to watch the grand annual NATIONAL MERDEKA PARADE event on TV. To soothe up my sad feeling, by means of enjoying this kind of moment of truth, today, I purchased two (2) pieces of 6’ X 3’ (Width X Height) of Malaysia flag installed at my house’s main entrance gate.

I still remember the old folks saying ~ “The spirit of MERDEKA never dies”. I do hope, my small/little contribution carry a lot of values on Independence Day of Malaysia. (Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia).
