Couple Getaways: Lots of places in a short period of time

Hi Everybody!

My wife and i are both full time employees so we must choose very carefully how to spend our time off so we don’t waste a minute.

We have been in several short trips (3-4 days) traveling the first day in the early morning and returning the last day of our trip in the last flight (midnight usually). this way we guarantee we don’t pay for unnecessary hotel nights.

We arrive in the first flight in the morning, enjoy the entire first day then return home in the last flight so we can fully enjoy the entire last day of the trip. That’s how our vacation begins.

Everything starts with a lot of planning, my wife (best travel partner ever by the way) is a fan of planning, she would never arrive to a city without knowing first where we will be having breakfast, lunch and dinner that same day. That’s where Local Guides, Maps, and blogs come along, we read a lot, make a list and then filter our choices to adapt them to the length of our trip, this way we make sure we are not skipping the best and we squeeze as much as we can in our agenda, of course, we always leave some room to just hang around the cities or go for a hiking adventure.

Plan, plan, plan, that’s everything we do for weeks and the rest is just enjoy. We don’t pick a date as the first thing, we choose the places we want to visit, the hotel we want to stay, the food we want to eat, the spot we want to stop to take that great picture, the tours or activities we want to do, the best time of the year to do such tours or activities and THEN is when we choose the date of the trip, and we start looking for the best hotel and flight deals!.

Those are our adventures, short, full of things to do, lot of places, great food, amazing lodge

Below are some pics off our last trip to Arizona, hope you like them!
