Hi, my name is Simon and this is my first post on Local Guides Connect.
In the near future here on Connect I will be focusing the content I share around the best affordable / cost-effective places of interest I come across. I love fresh quality experiences that don’t break the bank!
Beyond an affinity for checking out things on the cheap, I’m a local explorer in Ontario that likes to see and try new things both at home and abroad. I loved checking facts and answering questions for Maps everywhere I went - it felt like I was constantly helping others. Whenever I visited a restaurant or attraction, I’d enjoy providing a review to give the place a stronger presence on the map and also advice for other urban explorers to see. The contributions I make as a Local Guide makes me feel more connected to the places I visit and is a way for me to leave something useful behind for the place itself and others that visit after me.
Really looking forward to posting more here in the future about my experiences with travelling, photography, and the surprising things I come across. Hoping to enjoy and learn from the posts of other in the community here as well!
