Corn or Maize Processing in Local village of Bangladesh

Few Days ago at Rainy Season i have traveled a historical place named HINDU ROTH in Sachar. The place Located at kachua upazilla in Chandpur District Bangladesh. Sachar is an ancient place and famous for village market. it is situated on the bank of Local River Titas.

Journey by boat is one of my hobby. at my journey time i saw some farmers processing their corn manually at the bank of River.
Corn varieties are being dried in the sun by collecting and picking. Farmers are suffering very hard to making this corn only for their better living. some of them are female labors also.

I ask them, when they collect these corn grains? they tell me that, In case of maize harvesting for grains, the mocha is suitable for collection if the color of the chalky straw is colored and the leaves are somewhat yellow.

we can find out now The nutritional value of maize or Corn. It is higher than that of rice and wheat. It contains about 5% Protein content. In addition, yellow grains contain about 5 milligrams of carotene or vitamin A per gram.

Hello @BarakatGazi ,

This was an interesting thing to see during your trip. Corn is one of my favourite things to eat during the summer, especially if it’s boiled. Usually there are street vendors who sell it on the streets in the small towns near the seaside. They sell it even on the beach but it’s not the best to eat it there on a windy day.

What else did you do in HINDU ROTH in Sachar?
