Generally climate of Fatehpur Sikri is Subtropical and Summers are very hot, close to the monsoon it becomes humid. Mughals were not habitual of this climate so in their architecture Pavilions, Stone Screens, Running water, Fountains, Water Tanks etc were the essential elements to remain comfortable. Such cooling provisions were also provided in the walls, and tourists can experience this provision located near Anarkali Tunnel in Fatehpur Sikri.
In the Northern Wall of a corridor there are three ducts merged in the wall and opposite side is covered by stone screens instead of wall to maintain the ingress of light and fresh air. Here many cenotaphs are there as original graves will be in the basement. Tourists can feel the extremely cool breeze at the ducts mouth in even hot summer.
