Greetings friends, hope all are doing great…
Cooking is an art, and I am on my way to learning this art.
Self cooked food tastes much more delicious, this is what motivates me to try different dishes. I crave for sweet dishes l so , here I am sharing my new learning ,dish :moong daal ka halwa.
It’s a delicious indian dish and nobody can resist eating this.
I started cooking this lockdown, and now it’s really fun.
So, let’s start .
First I will list down the items which are required for this dish.
1)moong daal(Split & skinned green gram, yellow lentils)
2)milk
3)sugar
4)sooji(semolina)
5)dry fruit(cashew,almond,raisins)
6)ghee(clarified butter)
7)elaichi
1)First, wash the moong dal properly in water, till the water turns fully white and clean.
2)Now, dry the moong dal with clean cloth.
3)Also, keep in a pan with little ghee and dry it further till it stops sticking in the pan.
4)Now let us get little cold and grind it using a grinder/mixer.
5)Don’t grind too fine, leave some coarse size, it tastes good.
6)Now , take ghee in a pan and fry the dry fruits and keep aside.
7)Now take a wok and add ghee in it and add semolina and the grinded moong daal.
8)Fry it for till it’s colour changes slightly brownish. In between keep adding ghee to prevent sticking of moong daal.
9)Now add milk and little water and stir for sometime.
10)When the viscosity of the mixture will decrease add sugarand keep stiring.
11)Keep adding ghee in between.
Atlast add the dry fruits and elaichi and stir for some more time.
And finally our delicious dish is ready to serve.
It tastes really great, friend try it sometime.
