So,
The streak continues.
Today I sharing with you all self cooked;
“BESAN KA HALWA”
For preparing this dish, you will need ;
1)Besan(gramflour)
I used 250gm.
2)Ghee
Half cup or as per besan quantity.
3)sugar
As per the taste.
4)dry fruits
Cashew,almonds,raisins.
5)elaichi(cardamom’s powder)
6)water
7)sooji(semolina)
1-2 table spoon or in the ration of 1:10 (besan:sooji)
So,
First put ghee in the non-stick kadhai(wok or pan).
Then add besan and fry it, till it gets soft and the starts decreasing in area.
During the whole process ,please keep the flame selection at low.
Now add semolina in the ratio of 1:10 and again fry it for sometime.
If observed the colour and texture change, also look if the colour changes to light golden.
Now add water.
You can add simple water or saffron water as per availability.
I didn’t had kesar ,so I used simple water. Adding kesar will only change the colour of halwa and smell.
Stir for sometime and then add sugar as per taste.
Stir and observe till it gets thick.
If so, add cardamom powder and dry fruits(cashew,almonds,raisins etc) whichever available.
Now stir it till it gets more thick or as per wish ,as you like it.
Finally, add ghee for shiny look.
And Ta-Da ,it’s done.
Ready to serve.
