Hi @OkekeNkiruka that looks delicious. Even though it will take a lot for me to try it but I would try it for sure. I guess it’s no different that eating sushi, oysters, etc. I love how you cooked the food in that big pot with the fire on the ground. Cooking food on fire like that sure does give it a unique taste and appreciation. In South Africa, we sometimes cook on the floor like that on special occasions. Thank you so much for sharing, I liked the vide too. Let’s continue to share about our cultures through food.
I’m happy you shared this with us on connect. I used to enjoy Ejula so much. But right now I am having mix feelings about it. One of my friend told me is not actually healthy to eat it, if you have other options of meat.
Disregarding what my friend said, Ejula is so sweet, you can even fry it with vegetable oil and it gives it a unique taste.
It has actually been long, while I watched your video I was wishing I’m near you to serve my plates as well so that I can have a taste and give reviews.
Thank you for tagging me and for sharing this recipe with us!
Honestly, I love snails and I would love to taste what you’ve prepared, as it looks very delicious! I remember back in the days when I was living in Morocco, we used to collect snails after the rain. However, the Moroccan recipe for preparing snails is totaly different from the one of your country.
There, snails are cooked with the shell and the most delicious part is the broth which is full of herbs and spices.
Thank you for sharing with us this recipe for boiled snails with vegetables.
And thank you @Austinelewex for marking me.
I refrain from eating snails, but as far as I know they are very useful for joints. There has been a study conducted on the island of Crete in Greece in the last century. Scientists wondered why there are very few elderly people on the island without complaints of joint problems. It turns out that the population of the island are eating a lot of snails. Snails for them is a kind of national dish.
@BorrisS appreciate your comments, cooking snails has different format depending the one you choose to but cooking the snail together with the shell will reduce the nutrient, that’s why is advisable you cook the snail without the shell. Thanks for commenting @Nyainurjanah appreciate
Yea yea yea! @OkekeNkiruka , U said it all about the snail. I love the snail, its very nutritious and delicious if properly prepared. I used to order for a peppery snail already prepared from one farm close to my Area. Using it to prepare a vegetable soup is the height of it. Thanks for sharing
