Convert my Local Guides Connect Site on Mobile to a Desktop Site on Mobile

There are several things I love about the Google Local Guides Connect Website while working on my Personal Computer that are not available on the Mobile Website when browsing through Connect on my phone;

  1. the Most important to me is the 'Autosave feature

  1. That I can add many Photos at the same time and that my pictures get saved to a folder I can easily access.

If you miss this experience while using your mobile, here is what you have to do;

I hope you find this Post helpful.

Cheers

Desktop mode is really better than the mobile version of this site.

Hi @Ewaade_3A . I agree with you that there is 'auto save ’ mode while using desktop version of Localconnect. But if you are using ‘Localconnect App’ on mobile also and you are posting some story or comment it is getting auto saved.

For retrieving the auto saved you should follow this :point_down: .

Go to :arrow_right: Profile :arrow_right: Drafts

Then you will find your auto saved posts/ comment.

@VinayKrishna

Thank you :pray: :two_hearts:

Hi @Ewaade_3A

Thanks for sharing your tip about Desktop Mode. I think it is worth to mention to existing problems associated with using the desktop mode on Mobile:

1: The text and buttons get so small that it is very difficult to position the cursor correctly… And reading becomes an issue for me.

  1. You should not change to or from Desktop mode while being in edit mode. You will often be kicked off as a security measure. Only change mode while in view posts mode.

@MortenCopenhagen Thank you for the tips! You have really taken me up as your student, :grin: glad to find a teacher like you! :clap:

When I change while on ‘edit mode’, I zoom in after the post loads and click on “load autosaved contents”

Happy to help you, @Ewaade_3A

If you switch to Desktop mode before entering edit mode you don’t need to deal with drafts. Never switch mode while in edit mode.

Cheers
