Currently, I am level 6 and have passed 250,000 views on the pictures I have posted as contributions. Moreover, my contributions have 5 lakh views/ 500 thousand views. I still haven’t received any mail regarding the swags(a pair of socks which my friends got) for it. My friends who are contributing got their mail when they passed level 4 and I am level 6 right now and I haven’t received anything yet. The points that you earn leads to higher levels of the program, as well as benefits like early access to Google features and special rewards from partners. Please bear in mind that rewards and benefits for the Local Guides program are always changing.
Also to receive rewards, you must be subscribed to emails about them and contribute regularly on Maps. Please be sure that your email preferences have reward emails enabled by visiting your Local Guides settings.
