I hope someone could please help me.
I received an email that my review has not been posted. I am not so sure whats the issue. I’ve been traveling. I did indeed go to the place and it was my pictures. I still have the original pictures as well. I noticed that it’s been a few days and the reviews haven’t been posted and my picture view hasn’t been updated. Now, I’m afraid of posting pictures and reviews. Please help me. This is really bother me. Thank you in advance.

I looked at your photos and noticed some issues:
We can not post photos with recognizable faces.
Yiu have some photos with a girl sitting or standing in front of the place without showing her (your?) face. This is also not okay because is is a distraction from showing the place.
Your latest photo shows a bridge but you uploaded it to a road construction company. This is a mistake.
You are often uploading similar (redundant) photos. You should never upload duplicates and near duplicates. Food photographed from a different perspective are redundant.
You are an amazing photographer, but you are not getting the views you deserve. Tips include: show the store/business storefront / entrance. Upload only one = the best photo to each place. 15 photos of cats uploaded to places with thousands of cat photos require you to really stand out = it is very difficult. And you don’t really add anything new/more.

PS don’t be scared. It is just a computer evaluating your contributions. You should try editing the text to avoid terms that could trigger the spam filter.

I didnt realize how showing a face on photos would be an issue. Is that new? Because someone has created a location on Google map and the first pic was a huge face of our friends eating. I also have seen places with selfie/group pictures to a location I’ve been so I thought it was ok.
I’m not so sure which road construction company you meant. I felt like I know which you talked about but I’m not 100% sure. Because the place that I thought you talked also has three bridge before, so I thought it was the right place.
I will remove redundant pictures as much as possible.
By chance, do you know when the views will be updated? It’s been quite a few days and it’s giving me little anxiety.

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
Feel free to flag pics with recognizable faces and group photos. It is not a new thing, and many Local Guides are not aware of this.
I was refering to the photo you uploaded to 天保山大橋.
Be careful with very zoomed out photos. All photos should clearly show the place. Having a lot else in your shot is not very helpful to Maps users not knowing the place.
Views of individual photos are updated pretty much instantly. While the sum of views is updated only 1-2 times per week.

Hi @Momo1122 while this can be caused through the content itself violating policy, it is also a known issue impacting some Local Guides (I’ve had it happen to me). I will move this to the main thread where a Googler can check your contributions.
