I love to share and complement facts and information on Google maps of the places I visit and review. Why? A review should be relevant, to be decision-making tool for others.
To me, reviewing is a tool to make aware others about the important things to decide where to stay, what to eat, try of even leave.
I usually review restaurants, public offices and services where things like service, price, opening hours, phone number and category is really important.
I rely on Google Maps 100% locally and abroad, locally dialing from Google Maps is a plus and abroad view others reviews to try or pass, confirm opening hours and of course directions has saved me several times.
Last winter we went for New Year holiday to Spain with my wife and daughter, after all day walk we arrived to our apartment and wanted to eat, it was late and everything seemed closed, I was wandering by the area when I saw a place that seemed to be open, I checked on Google maps and saw it was closed. I knocked and actually the place was open, I was able to talk to the owner, ask the opening hours and was able to update accordingly.
He was HAPPY that this information was already updated, I was HAPPY I found a great “bocadillo de Ibérico” and my daughter was HAPPY I found her patatas bravas at almost 10pm.
