Contribute photo to Google Maps to unlabeled location

I’m told in the Google Maps & Earth Help Forum to ask my questions here. You can see my post there.

How can I “contribute” a photo to Google Maps for an unlabeled location? The “Add a photo” link doesn’t exist for unlabeled locations.

Example: I have a photo of a river I took at this location, but was unable to add the photo to that location. I was able to post it to this labeled location, but that is a long way from the actual location.

Hi @BruceAJohnson the short answer is that you cannot do so for normal flat photos. Maps used to allow it through a bug but that has been fixed. If you are making 360 Photosheres you can add those to specific geographic places as long as the image is geotagged and you’re using the Street View App.

Thanks for the info. I will just delete the photo.
