Contemporary Art at Musée du Louvre Abu Dhabi

I never forget taking pictures when I was enjoying my trip. It will give me pleasure when someone can feel what I feel. That’s why I want to share my trip to Louvre Abu Dhabi several months ago.

Let’s start with the history of Louvre in Abu Dhabi!

Louvre Abu Dhabi is one of the historical places to visit at Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. Based on the history, it was different with the Louvre in Paris, although Louvre Abu Dhabi has contract agreement for using the same name as Louvre in Paris, and the agreement was between the French culture minister and Abu Dhabi government.

Although it was smaller than Louvre Paris, the specimens were absolutely amazing and well kept. Fine artworks from all over the world, unique sculptures and modern art. The museum runs you through the history of civilization using fine art to tell the story and drawing parallels between civilizations never thought to be alike.

I have visited Louvre twice. On my first visit, I found a self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh which was painted by himself. I truly admired the wonderful paintings of himself. That’s why I came to visit Louvre for the second time. Rembrandt and Jan Vermeer are the reason I came there again. For me, Louvre was not only a museum but a truly magnificent work of historical events which describes so many origins of the " future ". As you can see my below picture define as Egyptian Funeral set of Princess Henuttawy.

For those who have children, kids play area is available to increase their brain abilities. Overall, Louvre Abu Dhabi is totally worth seeing. Make sure to put Louvre Abu Dhabi as your destination for your next holiday.

Hi @KlaudiyaG … nice to know you  It has been 2 years since Louvre was built in Abu Dhabi. It quite similar with Louvre in French, the collections are mix of loans from the Louvre in Paris and other major French Museum.

Anyway, thank you for taking time to read my article. It was a pleasure for sharing to the community  Have a nice day!

@Vanillaessence appreciate your picture, the way you give respect to others by not showing their faces inside the museum, (timing shot) good privacy maintained, good work keep it up.

Hi @ajlenin ,

Something that I’ve realized, everyone has their own privacy so I don’t want to take their picture without permission. Anyway, thank you. Your appreciation means a lot for me.
