During the now-times of COVID-19 lockdown in isolation we are still connected–online, waiting in queues and elsewhere. We really can’t avoid it. OK, so I can hide away in my home, like a wombat in its burrow, but eventually I have to come up for air and get amongst the people.
With my photography, I’m very pleased whenever I’ve kept my eyes peeled and captured those connections. Editing often allows for further emphasis.
This image was taken from inside the National Gallery of Victoria at St Kilda Road, Melbourne, my home town. I was at the railing of the upstairs café looking down on this scene involving the now-famous front entrance glass waterwall which is a drawcard for the younger children, and some of us bigger ones too. The connection? Family, I would guess, though not necessarily so.
Processed and collaged (with a white frame) using Pixlr.
Adding text is part of the Collage feature in Pixlr. Very easy to do. Once created, move the textbox, in this case the word connection, to wherever you wish on the collage image.
