Hi everyone! For many you who don’t know me, I am a Level 8 local guide from Tanzania, East Africa! I attended #connectLive in 2018 where I met some of the most amazing people in the world, literally!! Last year was a difficult year for me but being a local guide kept me going and towards the end of the year I was still making contributions on maps but wasn’t “active” on connect and in sense lost touch with a number of people.
BUT yesterday I went to the post office and found these two beautiful postcards from @Julien44 and @ValeriaA_ and it brought such a huge smile on my face but most of all I felt that warm feeling of friendship and belonging. I think the post office delayed these cards on purpose. It did take over 4 months for them to arrive but it was worth the delay! Even tho I was not there physically, I was there in spirit.
This is my first post in a looooong time and I just wanted to share my appreciation to the Local Guides team and the entire program as a whole (Tagging @TraciC@brittym to represent the rest). Being a local guide holds a special place in my heart and it fills me up with pride every time I think of the great friends I made and the exposure I have had the opportunity to experience.
To Jul’s and Valeria, you are amazing human beings. It’s a blessing having you as friends.
You write very good! Magnific your narrative. I enjoy all: the words and feelings. I wish for many happyness, blesseds, Love… I am brazillian and I new here. Bye bye so long.
It seems that you have good friends. I also made good friends last year on CL19, people that I keep talking since that event almost every week. I believe it to be the best part of all. It’s something that will make me always remember of that week in California.
By the way, some postcards I’ve sent to my friends in Brazil didn’t arrive yet. Will they arrive someday? hahhaha just waiting.
