Connecting tourists with the Chilean Patagonia and its people

The first time I knew about “Google Local Guides” was thanks to a notification that showed up on my smartphone years ago and I joined in posting photos and information about different places and business. At the beginning it was another way of interacting in social medias but that day something started to grow bigger on me.

The day I joined “Local Guides” I’ve never even imagined how deep it inspired me to go forward for what really makes me shine at work and today I’m an outdoor guide at the Chilean Patagonia. When I started to post comments, pictures and others I was working on a desk in front of the computer but inside me I knew I missed so hard being in touch with people and transmiting experiences to them like I did years before when I worked as a freelance guide on my free time at the university.

Time passed and that spark that Google Guides gave me that day made that my family and I moved from Santiago (the capital of Chile) to the south heading to Puerto Varas at the northern Patagonia.

Our lives changed and now we’re living a more simply life, enjoying quality family time and I can tell for sure that getting back into tourism business makes me smile even if your working 24/7 for 6 month, walking 13k’s under the rain or carrying a heavy backpack with the box lunchs of your guests.

Let me invite you to learn, live and visit the Patagonia trough my pictures and I’ll be glad if I can assist any of you into a digital journey across the big pacific coast, the inner valleys at the Andes or just planning your experience at Chile.

Hello @Nico_dBK ,

I just wanted to let you know that I removed the accepted solution as it doesn’t answer any question or doesn’t solve any issue you might have.

The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. You can take a look at: Tip: How to mark replies as solutions — “Accept as Solution” feature.
