Hi, I am a Taiwanese local guide currently studying Arabic in the Middle East. I started my local guide career last year when I first came here. During my stay here, I travel to several countries and find this place very charming, from their environment to the way they live, all the details are quite different to my country. Most Taiwanese aren’t familiar with this area, so I would like to share my journey through Google maps and show my community how beautiful this place is.
When I was in Oman, I traveled smoothly thanks to the tips from the net forum, but most of the information online were written in English or sometimes Arabic, there aren’t much mandarin articles written by Taiwanese travelers, even if there are ,the information were already out of date. It can get really frustrated and sometimes seriously influencing the mood when traveling. So I started to think if I can be an online guide for my community here in the Middle East.
Through Google maps, I wish to help all the Taiwanese visitors who visit the Middle East but don’t speak English or Arabic well to overcome the language obstacle, I share not only my opinion to the spot but also tips for visiting the spot, sometimes in bilingual description. Where to get the best souvenir in the market, how to order special meal in restaurants, reminders when visiting, traditions advised to be follow, problems which might happen etc.…
I hope my sharing on Google maps can build a stronger connection between the Middle East and my community(and of course citizens around the world) people will find it easier to travel in this area and have a more enjoyable journey.
