The most interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide happened when I just learned about the program. I was told by a coworker that you could contribute to Google Maps with far more information than just rating a business. I went home after work and saw that there was a huge list of places for me to add information about already recorded by Google. I spent hours looking back on all of my wonderful and unique experiences at the places I had traveled to. Giving people helpful information about a place before they commit to going there is a feeling that fills me with joy. Spending hours sharing my experiences and stories with others via Google Maps has always been one of the coolest technology related experiences I’ve ever had.
