I recently submitted my application for Connect Live 2019!
Before I made the video, I looked at other people’s video applications on Youtube and saw that many Local Guides had just filmed themselves in one shot while talking on camera. I wanted to do something different and a little humorous.
So to answer the prompt of, ‘Tell us your favorite place and what makes it special’, I decided to go to the Central Library in Calgary and get shots of the different areas while adding my own personality to it.

Hey I see that you’re Level 10 already. I just posted my Local Stories write up - I know it was posted coz I got notification but I can’t find it anymore. Do you happen to know how to find it? It even has 3 likes or hearts. Title is From Finding Restaurants to Helping People Of the Same Dilemma. I am catching up for the deadlin. I hope to make it though.
@mariarona12 Hi Maria, not sure if you posted this in the wrong comments as I am not level 10. Regarding your questions. You can always see your write-up in your profile. If you are looking for it in the local stories forum however, it might have been pushed to the older pages because of other people creating more posts or not as featured near the top because it doesn’t have as much activity. Hope that helps.
