Together we… are Local Guides out of this world! This is the sentence I would use to recap my amazing experience at Connect Live 2019.
Well this year has been my first application ever as some LG’s know already, and I was so shocked about being selected, cannot forget that moment when the mail “You are in” arrived. From there everything started to build progressively, excitement, start knowing each other attendees, start building our relationships besides keeping contributing (don’t forget!).
I’m a local guide since 2016, always passionate contributing but I was really blind about what’s out there, the LG worldwide family!
Connect Live is an amazing experience, truly overall.
First of all a big thank you to @TraciC and @brittym, they put lot of efforts to make this happen and they did it, they did it because they put their hearts ?.
Learn, Connect and Inspire, core values for me in this Connect Live:
- Learn: don’t stop doing it, every moment is a lesson to improve ourselves, our contribution, our being a LG and make better this world, quality vs quantity.
- Connect: here we come back, together we… yes together, we are local guides (and here ok it happens to shout selfiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, isn’t @AlexandreCampbell ?) This is a very important value for me, I love to engage with people and I love to make friends and I really made lot of them, worldwide: @OSAMA, @OmerAli, @Julien44, @CeciliaRatto, but just to mention some as tags are not enough! And here the engagement from the “you are in” made sure that we were already friends before, only hugs when we first met face by face, just like when you see again a very old friend after such long time.
- Inspire: we are local guides, inspire others, the world is never so small and all together we can make a difference out there, out of this world.
The next big thank you to all 200 attendees, ALL, no-one excluded, you gave me so much and you all have a big friend in Italy waiting for you anytime with my arms open (and the selfie stick ?).
Of course not least our great #TeamItaly, it was a pure team full of energy: Ermes, Emanuele, Matteo, Niccolo’, Giuseppe, Flavio, Riccardo, Roberta, Raffaele and also the half part of it Marie and Giuliano.
Words are not enough to describe the complete experience, the more I write and the more I might have a possibility to drop a tear, I will just also leave a big thank you to @DeniGu, @AngieYC, you are such amazing and so glad to have met personally you and the beautiful time spent together.
Thank you to all Googlers and all other friends I didn’t mention, not intentionally. See you all soon hopefully, we will need to update our selfies ?.
, I haven’t cried after leaving a trip in so long, or maybe ever come to think of it. And I realized it wasn’t because of the place, because San Jose is just a city, it was truly about the experience and the people. When I signed up for this, I couldn’t even imagine this is what would happen. I am tearing up right now thinking about it and I hope to see you all very soon!
