I had the chance to arrive in San Fransico before and meet other local guides before the event.
I talked a lot with @AniaKiser (I met her through local guide connect) and we decided to organize 2 pre-meetups before Connect Live :

1st day : World Market - Pixel 3XL - Picture at the Marriott hotel (12th november 19)
Worldmarket : Share items with local guides over the world
There were a lot of activities at the beginning of the event (Tree with instant photos, writing postcards with no postage costs, food and drinks…).
But I wanted to share with you the World Market area which touched me a lot.
It was really incredible all the local guides who had brought with them a small part of their countries. Handmade objects, exclusive things, t-shirts, pens, badges, bracelets…

I never seen Ania before 9th november (3 days before the event) but she became a friend very quickly. When I saw videos of the other years of this event, I didn’t think it was really possible to create friendships like this but now I can say that is really possible!

Pixel 3XL a gift from Google ! #TeamPixel
After a few hours in the event lounge, @TraciC announces that we will all receive a Pixel 3XL. Hard to believe, but yet a few minutes later, the phone was in my hands. ?
For organizational reasons, I kept my old phone for all the event. But today my 3xl pixel doesn’t leave me anymore. I am really impressed by the quality of the photos (day, night and portrait + 4K video).
End of the first day : amazing
I love this picture because it reminds me that there were only a few hours that passed but already a lot of emotions and encounters! I lost track of time.
2nd day : Google office - Workshop - Google Event night - Poker party (13th november 19)

The food during all the event was so good !
First workshop that I choosen : Consuming Inspiring Content
One question to answer was : How might Google Maps make the best recommandations for dining + leisure ?
We created smalls groups ans exchanges and share ideas about that !
I had the chance to do it with Capella, Product Manager and leader of the workshop. It was very instructive !

As promised, I brought poker’s chips. But it was hard to find a time to play. For this first party : Raymond and @WilliamCanup
So we decided to play after Google night. It was really fun and we could talk about the first day.
3nd day : Google office - Workshop - Google Event last night - (14th november 19)
Dane Glasgow came to present some stats about the impact of Local Guides. It was really nice and cool to find all the local guides on this giant screen!

Last amzing night !
I don’t remember having a night like this in my life. Everything was pleasant. A DJ with live instruments was crazy! And the balls pool, it was a child’s dream come true haha. You could choose many food and it was delicious !
To give you an idea. Here’s a little excerpt of the atmosphere over there. and pictures here :

In the bubble pool: We made 4 pictures in a row and received them by email instantly and also printed them.
I loved the food there, I went to the hot dog stand and it was really good.
4th day : It’s time to say goodbye and thank you ? (15th november 19)

One of the incredible possibilities offered by Google was to send postcards to whoever wanted them. Until the last day it was possible. So I sent my last postcards at this moment. PS: They all arrived safely to their recipients (more than 9!).
I really appreciated being able to have several contacts during the event with Tracy! She’s a great listener to everyone and very cool personnality. Thank you !

It was impossible for me to live this experience before being selected and flying for the first time outside Europa !
Everything went perfectly and I am really grateful to have been able to live this for real !
Today and more than ever, I am happy to have a passion that allows me to make this kind of encounters and travels too.
