In recent days, some Local Guides experienced challenges submitting their Connect Live applications. While the application period was the longest we’ve ever had for our annual event—58 days to be exact—we want to be sure that every eligible Local Guide who wishes to apply has a chance to do so.
As a result, we will be accepting Connect Live 2019 applications through Friday, May 3 at 4:00 p.m. UTC. (Not sure what that is in your local time? Check out this handy time zone calculator.)
For Local Guides who reached out to us here on Connect, we are tagging you in this post and will email you by tomorrow, Thursday, May 2.
Everything you need to know about Connect Live 2019 can still be found on the event site and all applicants will learn about their status on June 3 as originally planned.
Iam not sure which forum to start the post from. Please forgive me if i used the incorrect plarform.
I submitted an entry to Connect Live 2019 about 20 minutes ago. My orange submit button froze a few times. The screen changed. How does one know that the submission was successful. Is there a notification to say the application was recieved.
I know there is a notification which may be sent to entrants sometime in June. The cut off date is tomorrow. My concern is there is no way if knowing especially since the freezing of the submit button. Has anyone experienced the same challenge with the freezing of the orange submit button. Your guidance,encouragement ,assistance and understanding is well recieved. I look forward to your response. I thank you in advance
I would like to request that the dedicated local guides who were not able to submit their applications and videos be given another chance since the site was so congested. We work so hard and we deserve the chance to get our submissions in. I love being a local guide and I would love to be able to attend Connect Live 2019 so that I can meet the administrators and other local guides around the world. I would like to be offered the chance to get my application and video in.

i have applied last night for this year mega event. i submit application after completing all datas, it said like “something went wrong, please try after sometime” but i received mail from google local guides like " thanks for applying". i cant able to understand. i think 24165 people applied for this mega event. all the best for all the people who applied and waiting for result.
Today I watched some videos on you tube where many important informations have been given regarding ‘connect live 19’ application. I have also noticed some posts from local guides ,facing different problems in filling up the application. so, all local guides should be informed properly about such informative videos etc.
