connect android UI is too slow

Namaste,

I am Manmohan LG from Bhopal, India.

I am a old LG and newbie to connect … I downloaded the UI which I thought was an app for connect.

While it’s easier to get on connect but it’s response on clicks is too slow as compared to other google sites.

Am I the only who’s facing this… or others too have the same issue…

I have tried using the UI on mobile data, fibre wifi, fixed broadband too but the outcome is same though.

Share your views and suggestions also to me and other newbies…

As I understand, Connect operates on a third-party solution of social media connectivity & that’s the reason why the team can’t do much to fix the speed issue.
Further, the content is rich in photos. That adds more to the slowing down.

Notwithstanding, you can try the following solutions to improve speed.

Open the site directly through a browser instead of the Progressive Web App.

Use “Lite” or data saver mode.

Maintain a practice to clean the cookies & browsing history, periodically.

Minimize background apps & services. If possible, do disable browser extensions when possible.

Use Google DNS for quicker resolution of domain names.

I am already doing some of the suggestion like cleaning the cookies, almost no background apps still I will try the suggestions given by you.

But I would like to tell you that even if I reboot the phone and operate the web app it’s slow… Like when I click bell icon it takes almost 3 seconds to change the response from app and so on for other options also.

May be google can create a separate app like maps, sheets etc…

Yes, it’s time wasting and highly painful issue.

I hope connect team solves it soon.

We need to keep patience.

Slow speed of connect is frustrating.

When we give our reply or comment, or publish the post on connect,

It will takes 2-3 seconds,

And compare to social media the time is 0.5 second.

Will hope the best.

If my issue seems correct we should raise this issue with Google team to resolve it and make Connect experience more charming.

This issue has been reported by many local guides. Google team is working on this.

This will be fix soon.
