Confusion About Exact Number of Edits.

The Edits shows different numbers of stats.

Recently, I find that The discrimination between My edits.

The number of contributions Suggesting the 9,691 Edits.

But, The master fact finder shows only 380 Edits!!

I have been check out some local guides profiles,

Some local guides having Exact number of edits at both postions.

Some local guides having 300-500 difference between both number of edits at both positions.

Some have 1000.

But, in my case,

It’s highly large difference.

Don’t know, what actually happened.

Do most of you edits get a ‘Pending’ or ‘Not applied’ @KishorMali ? The 1st screenshot mentions ‘Edits’ and the 2nd mentions ‘Approved edits’.

The edits I did, I received all exact points.

But, Mostly I answers the Uncover missing information’s questions.

As you know, these questions has same working as edits.

To confirm, the majority of these edits have been spread out over many years, rather than you having done a recent push to increase your edit count. Am I correct?

I did the Good amount of edits during this 3 months.

Not for the points.

Can you tell something more about what type of edits did you make? Viz.

Corrections in multiple words within the name or address field.

Corrections in categories.

Cosmetic changes like correction of capitalisation etc.

Deleting or merging POIs.

Tagging of dishes at restaurants.

Adding POI name in the local language at the specific new field.

That will help in understanding the reason for the discrepancy.

As I understand, tagging of dishes add to the count of edits but do not qualify for the master fact-finder badge.

BTW Didn’t you notice another discrepancy?

Your expert reviewer badge shows a count of fifty-four number. However, when I expand “see all reviews” that shows a count of forty numbers only.

Is there something similar in edits also?

Nevertheless, the Maps contribution policy does make mention of edits also becoming private.

Now, my count of reviews are exact at both place.

some reviews are delated by me, on this day.

However, I am shocked my informative reviews are becomes private!!!

Now, Edits.

My most of Suggesting Edits are about place’s hours.

After My suggesting edits has been approved, I received the Email.

First I go to the place &after Did the suggesting Edits.

In these 3 months,

I found that we also contributing more using Uncover missing information.

I gave answers of the many of questions ,

From the Uncover missing information.

These types of question’s answer’s I did.

So, I gave the answers of related to these,

Accessibility

Food Conscious

Child friendly

Fun night out

Quick bite

Category

Hours

I didn’t suggesting edits for below these three, (using uncover missing information)

Phone

Website

Photo upload.

As you know, that these questions are working as line of edits.

And same point as Suggesting Edits.

(I assume that 1 Answer-1 point, but here, in uncover missing information, 1 answer-5 points,

I knew this because when I gave the answers, suddenly my points are highly increase, that’s also shocking for me.i never imagine that 5 points per one answer!!!).

But, the discrepancy occured and I am more confused.

Now, I will decide to Delete My All Activity to prevent this.(maybe it’s works)

I don’t contribute for the Points.

And don’t care about levels.

What do you think in this case?

If those edits are not all recent then there should not be that big of a discrepancy. @sonnyNg , can you please have this investigated?

The right approach to private reviews is identifying what’s wrong & then making necessary corrections @KishorMali
Now instead of 54/40, the figure has become 33/27 & thus the trouble remains.
About the discrepancy in edits, may be the ones through “Discover missing info” aren’t counted on the “fact-finder” badge. Let’s hear from the moderators.

Hello @KishorMali

Till date, I experienced that thrice.
In one, I used the term " Crying floor".
In the other two, I used a term to describe the statues depicting figures without clothes.
After removal of those terms, now the reviews are public for the last full year.
