I’m posting this again because I was happy because I didn’t expect the photo to be featured like this.
This station has been decommissioned by the railroad.
Unfortunately, the railroad business could not cooperate.
However, I remember that there were beautiful cherry blossoms along the railroad in Toho-mura, where this station is located, and I only hope that those who are interested in it will miss out and enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms.
Thanks for taking part in this challenge @yamamo_cchi !! And like @Wawawiw Japan is on my bucket list of places to visit too!!
I love the cherry blossoms in this photo! As the station has been decommissioned… is there a new station elsewhere? And I just found out from your post about DeepL! Interesting service!
There are a lot of beautiful cherry blossoms here, such as the Hoshuyama station in my previous post.
Sorry for the lack of explanation!
In July 2017, heavy rains in the area caused heavy flooding, which washed away or buried the railroad tracks and stopped the railroad.
The Daigyoji station also collapsed.
In December 2019, locals restored only the station building in hopes of restoring the railroad.
In May 2020, JR and Fukuoka Prefecture decided to abolish the railroad, citing too much expense.
Daigyoji station was originally located at a distance from the station building and platform.
@yamamo_cchi Ah, that’s a shame! Sometimes I’m very slow to write my review or upload my photos and if it’s several months late, I sometimes don’t review/upload because I’m not sure how accurate it would be. Especially now with Covid, it’s important to have current and correct information. But yeah, I’ve been in similar situation where I could not contribute!
Toho Village in Fukuoka Prefecture, where Daigyoji Station is located, is a beautiful place with beautiful water and nature.
I will be posting a report here as well.
If you have the time, please read it again.
