Community, Ice Cream, and Nachos: the trifecta

I have been a student since I was 4 years old, with the exception of one year off in 2011. To give you some context, I am now 27. Being a student, finances are a struggle and so unfortunately I don’t get to adventure as much as I would like to. Since I started reviewing places on Google, my main focus has been to connect with my community and the people travelling through. I want businesses to know how my experience was. If it wasn’t so great: how they can improve, if it was great: I want them to feel how good I’m feeling. I also want the people who are interested in using that business to know as much as they can before investing in it. I love that I get to answer questions about a place, because the last thing I would want, would be for someone in a wheelchair to bring themselves all the way to a location they’ve wanted to try out, only to find out that it’s inaccessible. I also feel that answering these questions (in particular for situations of accessibility) helps to get the word out there and can be a gateway for positive change in the community.

That all being said, I also have goals for my role here as a guide. Ice cream is one of my passions. I will try any and all ice creams and now that I’m finally graduated from school, I feel that I will be more financially able to do so. I want to do this for my fellow students who love ice cream but are too broke to go try out this place they heard of once, just in case they don’t like it. I want to let them know that they will like it, by posting my reviews and stories. We all deserve to have ice cream! Oh and also nachos, because nachos are delish.
