I am looking for other South Florida local guides who love the outdoors and want to start helping clean up the beaches and parks in our area. The past few years have been full of challenges but what impact did the challenges have on our local communities? I want to start a new challenge in the Google community, and as a group, we can document the changes to our environment hopefully in a positive way. Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park formerly known as John Lloyd State Park near Port Everglades. The beach and whiskey creek area is home to marine wildlife and bird life and unfortunately to a lot more trash lately. The park has excellent snorkeling around the Dania Jax area an artificial reef stretching for 1500 feet. The area is quieter than Fort Lauderdale beach, and parking is easy to find at the park. The park offers kayak and paddleboard rentals along with having a convenient boat ramp. The area is significant to the local community looking for local guides who are interested in doing a meet up in the area and a little cleanup.
